Abstract: A cleaning implement (10) is provided for cleaning surfaces with a cleaning substrate (50). The cleaning implement includes a handle (30) connected via a universal joint (40) to a mop head (20). The mop head includes a bumper pad (120), which is made of a deformable and nonabsorbent material. The bumper pad can be deformed in the Z direction and within the X-Y plane. The cleaning implement (11) can also include a motor (521) for causing a portion of the mop head (21) to move relative to the handle (31).
