Abstract: The invention relates generally to genes expressed in skin cancer cells, particularly melanoma tumor cells (Figure 5), and their role in migration and metastasis. Methods for identifying melanoma cells are provided, as are methods of treating melanoma. Methods for identifying compounds that are useful in the treatment of melanoma are also provided.
