Abstract:
A display comprising: a first substrate (11); a second substrate (12) disposed face to face with the first substrate (11); and a sealing member (14) with which the first substrate (11) is bonded to the second substrate (12) while a display medium layer (13) is being enclosed between the first substrate (11) and second substrate (12). At least one of the first substrate (11) and second substrate (12) has a layered structure composed of superposed layers comprising a reinforcing layer (16) and one or more layers (22, 23) having a lower strength than the reinforcing layer (16). At least part of the sealing member (14) has been directly bonded to the reinforcing layer (16).
Abstract:
An active matrix substrate (30) comprises a plurality of functional lines (31) each including a center line (36) exhibiting conductivity at least on the surface, an insulation layer (37) covering the surface of the center line, and a semiconductor layer (38) covering the insulation layer, a structure for fixing the mutual arrangement of the plurality of functional lines, and first and second conductive layers (43, 42) each having a part superposing on the respective semiconductor layers of the plurality of functional lines and a part not superposing on the respective semiconductor layers of the plurality of functional lines. The active matrix substrate (30) further comprises a plurality of transistors (32) included in the respective semiconductor layers as regions (44) defined by the first and second conductive layers, and a plurality of pixel electrodes (33) connected electrically with respective first conductive layers (43).
