    Abstract: A method and an equipment used for encoding and decoding video are provided. The detail of the them is: At the encoder side, an image is divided into some slices. Each slice includes consecutive macro blocks in designated scanning order in the image. Then the slices included in the image are divided into one or many slice sets according to the attribute information of each slice. Based on the division information of the slices and the slice sets, the encoding operation to the slices in the slice sets is carried on and code stream corresponding to the image is produced. At the decoder side, division information of the slices and slice sets iscaptured from the code stream to be decoded. The operation of decoding is processed according to the division information. The method and the equipment have application to encoding based on areas, and can improve efficiently transmission capability and reduce complexity of encoding and decoding system as a result of easily realizing process.

    Abstract: A method of obtaining disparity vector, and its encoding-decoding in the multi-view encoding process. The method mainly includes: by determining the disparity vector between two views in the multi-view encoding process, and based on this disparity vector between the two views and the known relative location of each of the view, the disparity vector between another two views is calculated and obtained. Thereafter, the multi-view encoding-decoding is operated using the above-mentioned disparity vector. The method in this invention well utilizes the relativity between the disparity vector and the information of the space object depth on the one hand, and makes very good use of the direct relation between the disparity vector and the position of each of the cameras on the other. The experiment proved that the disparity vector between each of the views can be precisely calculated in the multi-view encoding process, so that the multi-view encoding functionality can be effectively enhanced.
