Abstract: A heating roller (21), comprising a heating layer (22) heated by electromagnetic induction, an insulation layer (23), and a support layer (24) arranged from the outside to the inside of the heating roller in that order, the heating layer (22) further comprising at least two layers having a first heating layer formed of a magnetic material and a second heating layer formed of a nonmagnetic material, wherein the specific resistance of the first heating layer is higher than that of the second heating layer, and the wall thickness of the first heating layer is larger than that of the second heating layer, whereby the second heating layer is allowed to effectively act as a part heated by the electromagnetic induction, a heating efficiency can be increased more than that obtained when the heating layer (22) is formed of only one layer of the magnetic material to shorten a warm−up time and, since the heating layer (22) is concentrically heated, the support layer (24) is less heated to prevent bearings supporting the heating roller (21) from being damaged.
