Abstract: A fire barrier article for electric vehicle battery modules comprising a flexible flame-retardant foam, an inorganic fiber layer, and a fire protection coating, where either (a) the fire protection coating is disposed on at least a portion of the first major surface of the flexible flame-retardant foam and an inorganic fiber layer is disposed on at least a portion of the second major surface of the flexible flame-retardant foam, or (b) the fire protection coating is disposed on at least a portion of the first major surface of the inorganic fiber layer and the flexible flame-retardant foam is disposed on at least a portion of the second major surface of the inorganic fiber layer.
