Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to adhesive articles including a multilayer carrier between two peelable adhesive layers. The multilayer carrier provides enhanced conformability to the adhesive article, which under certain circumstances can increase or enhance the product performance on surfaces (e.g., rough or textured surfaces such as, for example, wallpaper, drywall, cinderblock, etc.).
Abstract:
Some embodiments herein are related to stretch releasable pressure sensitive adhesive compositions and articles. In an embodiment, a stretch releasing adhesive article is included. The article can include a backing and a first pressure sensitive adhesive composition disposed on at least a portion of a first side of the backing. The first pressure sensitive adhesive composition can include one or more hydrocarbon block copolymers and a polar phenolic tackifier comprising a phenolic moiety and having a hydroxyl value of between 20 to 130 and an acid value of less than 0.5. In an embodiment, a stretch releasing adhesive composition is included. In an embodiment, a method of making a stretch releasing adhesive article is included. In an embodiment, a method of using a stretch releasing adhesive article is included. Other embodiments are included herein.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to conformable stretch release adhesive and/or stretch-releasable, adhesive articles that are capable of attaching or adhering to a substrate and that can be removed from the substrate without causing damage to the substrate. The present disclosure also generally relates to methods of making and using such adhesive articles
Abstract:
Some embodiments herein are related to pressure sensitive adhesive compositions and articles such as adhesive tapes. In some embodiments, the adhesive tape includes a backing and a first pressure sensitive adhesive composition disposed on at least a portion of a first side of the backing. The first pressure sensitive adhesive composition can include one or more hydrocarbon block copolymers and a polar phenolic tackifier comprising a phenolic moiety and having a hydroxyl value of between 20 to 130 and an acid value of less than 0.5. Some embodiments relate to adhesive compositions including one or more hydrocarbon block copolymers and a polar phenolic tackifier comprising a phenolic moiety and having a hydroxyl value of between 20 to 130 and an acid value of less than 0.5. Some embodiments relate to a method of making an adhesive article is included. In some embodiments, methods of using an adhesive article is included.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to conformable adhesive articles that are capable of attaching or adhering to a substrate and that can be removed from the substrate without causing damage to the substrate. The present disclosure also generally relates to methods of making and using such adhesive articles. In some embodiments, the adhesive article includes (1) a releasable layer having a first major surface and a second major surface; the second major surfaces including a pressure sensitive adhesive capable of adhering the adhesive article to a surface; and (2) a compliant layer having a first major surface and a second major surface; the second major surface of the compliant layer adjacent to the first major surface of the releasable layer. In some embodiments, the releasable layer debonds from both the surface and the compliant layer when the adhesive article is stretch released at an angle of less than 35 degrees.

Embodiments herein are related to peel release pressure sensitive adhesive compositions and articles. In an embodiment, a peel release adhesive article is included. The article can include a backing and a first pressure sensitive adhesive composition disposed on at least a portion of a first side of the backing. The first pressure sensitive adhesive composition can include one or more hydrocarbon block copolymers; and a polar phenolic tackifier comprising a phenolic moiety and having a hydroxyl value of between 20 to 130 and an acid value of less than 0.5. In an embodiment, a peel release adhesive composition is included. In an embodiment, a method of making a peel release adhesive article is included. In an embodiment, a method of using a peel release adhesive article is included. Other embodiments are included herein.
Abstract:
A method of making a pressure-sensitive hot melt adhesive. The method includes extruding a melt composition that includes a polymer, wherein the polymer has acidic groups covalently attached thereto, and a metal salt hydrate, wherein the metal salt hydrate has a melting point that is less than the maximum processing temperature.
