Abstract: The invention concerns a strip light comprising a housing (70) and a transparent cover (71). In order to hinge the cover (71) to the housing (70), a multiplicity of curved brackets (75) are located along the longitudinal edge of the housing (70), while a multiplicity of pins (87) are located along the longitudinal edge of the cover, pointing parallel to the longitudinal edge of the cover. The internal cross-section of each curved bracket (75) is reduced by a cross-pin (79), and located on each pin, near the cross-pin (79), is a groove (89). When the assembled light is opened, the cross-pin engages in the groove, thus preventing the cover (71) from becoming displaced with respect to the housing (70) parallel to their longitudinal edges.
