Abstract: In order to provide for a procedure for the manufacturing of platinum nanostructures show- ing improved properties, that may also be usable in biomedical appliances, such a procedure is defined comprising in a first step provision of a solution containing hexachloroplatinate, the remainder water; and in a second step electrochemical deposition of platinum on a substrate, whereby platinum is deposited in a nanostructured form.
