    Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed to configure different paging occasions for enhanced UEs that support, and for legacy UEs that do not support, the enhanced feature of the paging early indication (PEI) in paging procedure for 5G/LTE networks. Different paging occasions for the enhanced and legacy UEs may be configured by providing separate paging occasion parameters for the enhanced and legacy UEs. The network may use the separate paging parameters to design the PEI to save signaling overhead. The network may reuse paging format for the paging PDCCH to serve as the PEI that is transmitted in advance of the paging occasions for the enhanced UEs, or may keep legacy paging PDCCH at its current locations to serve as the PEI for the enhanced UEs. A scheduling offset may be configured to separate in time the paging PDCCH serving as the PEI and the paging PDSCH containing the paging message.

    Abstract: A base station (BS) may receive, from a network node, one or more data packets including one or more reflective quality of service (QoS) indicator (RQI) markings. The base station may then determine, based on a value of the one or more RQI markings, one or more active uplink (UL) QoS rules associated with a user equipment (UE). The base station may further determine, based on at least one of one or more timers, the one or more active UL QoS rules, and status information received from the UE, to include or refrain from including the one or more RQI markings in a transmission of the one or more data packets to the UE. Accordingly, in response to the determining that the RQI markings should be included, the base station may then transmit the one or more packets including the RQI markings to the UE.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may establish a connection with a network for transmission of a plurality of data bursts further comprising a plurality of data segments.     Abstract: An application layer in a device, a service data adaptation protocol (SDAP) layer in the device, and/or a media access control (MAC) layer in the device may determine that wireless communication resources allocated to the device need to be adjusted. The determination may be in response to detecting that a quality of the wireless connection of the device has deteriorated, or it may be based on advance knowledge of information pertaining to an application layer payload in the device. In response to the determination the device may transmit, in a MAC Control Element (MAC CE) to a base station, a request for an adjustment of the allocated wireless communication resources. The adjustment may lead to a temporary boost of resources for a limited period of time or to a persistent update of the allocated wireless communication resources. To allow better scheduling of multiple QoS flows mapped to the same DRB and better selection of data when constructing a MAC Packet Data Unit (PDU), a mapping between QoS flows and LCHs may also be provided to the MAC layer.

    Abstract: A UE may perform a location-based conditional handover (CHO) based on a region information and size parameter associated with a serving cell of a non-terrestrial network (NTN). In time-based CHO, the UE may perform CHO in response to expiration of a network-configured wait time. Alternatively, the UE may perform CHO by randomly selecting a wait time from a network configured time range. The selection may be randomized using a network provided seed or using a cell Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) value. In elevation-based CHO, the UE may perform CHO in response to the elevation angle of a satellite being less than a network configured threshold. When the UE is configured with multiple cells of the NTN, and the CHO criteria for two or more of the cells are satisfied, the UE may select a target cell for CHO based on network indicated prioritization of the cells.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for physical downlink control channel handling when a secondary cell group is activated in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may establish a wireless link with a master cell group. A secondary cell group may be configured. The wireless device may receive an indication to activate the secondary cell group without performing a random access channel procedure on the secondary cell group. The wireless device may determine quasi-co-located information for a physical downlink control channel of the secondary cell group. The wireless device may perform physical downlink control channel decoding for the physical downlink control channel of the secondary cell group using the determined quasi-co-located information.
