The invention relates to a cover device for a retaining jaws module (20) that can be detachably coupled to a striker plate module (10) to bring about the connection of a vehicle door (2) and a side wall frame (3) of a vehicle body (4), wherein said striker plate module (10), which is arranged on the lock side on the vehicle door of the vehicle body, is provided with two locking wedges (11, 12) which have wedge surfaces (11b, 12b) and are mounted such that they can be displaced in a parallel manner relative to each other, said retaining jaws module (10), which is arranged on the side wall frame, is provided with two retaining jaws (21, 23) which accommodate the striker plate module (10) between them and comprise wedge grooves (22, 24) that have wedge surfaces (22a, 24a), wherein, by means of a drive device (30), the wedge surfaces (11b, 12b) of the locking wedges (11, 12), when the locking wedges are displaced apart from each other, are pressed into the wedge grooves (22, 24), and the two retaining jaws (21, 23) can be bridged by a displaceable cover (26). According to the invention, a retaining cover (27) connected to the side wall frame (3) is provided, said retaining cover enclosing, in a U-shaped manner, the introduction end face (20a) provided for introducing the striker plate module (10) into the retaining jaws module (20) and the adjacent longitudinal sides (20b, 20c) of the retaining jaws module (20) which extend in the transverse direction (y-direction) of the vehicle, and a rubber lip (28) is provided for compensating tolerances, said rubber lip elastically connecting the retaining cover (27) and the retaining jaws module (20).

The invention relates to a vehicle locking apparatus (1) for a vehicle using a coupling device for the separable connection of a vehicle door (2) to a vehicle structure part (6), said apparatus comprising a first coupling element (10) with two locking wedges (11, 12) mounted displaceably parallel to one another and having wedge faces (11b, 12b), wherein at least one of the locking wedges (11, 12) is formed with a locking tab (11d, 12d) on the wedge-side end face (11a, 12a), and a second coupling element (20) interacting with the first coupling element (10), said second coupling having two retaining jaws (21, 23) accommodating the first coupling element (10) therebetween with keyways (22, 24) having wedge faces (22a, 24a), wherein the locking wedges (11, 12) are pushed by means of a driving device (30) into the keyways (22, 24) by separation of the wedge faces (11b, 12b) apart from one other and the locking tab (11d, 12d) thereby being accommodated in a locking opening (22b, 24b) arranged in a keyway (22, 24) of a retaining jaw (21, 23).
