Abstract:
A ball display case has base and a cover that is securable to the base. When the cover is secured to the base, the cover and base at least partially enclose a space for holding a ball. The case has a pedestal for supporting a ball in the enclosed space. The elevation of the pedestal relative to the base is optionally adjustable. An irreversible lock is adapted for selective application to at least one of the base and the cover such that the lock assumes a locking position that prevents non-destructive removal of the cover from the base. One suitable lock includes a plate having a plurality of recessed areas spaced radially about the plate and a plurality of posts extending away from the plate. Each post is in general radial alignment with one of the recessed areas of the plate and spaced radially inward from the recessed area.

Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention provides a striker with dampening features. The striker provides for improved noise and vibration control characteristics. The striker also reduces or eliminates chucking, squeak and rattle concerns in a door closure. The striker may include a base for mounting to a support structure, such as a vehicle. The striker may include a post capable of engaging the latch mechanism. The striker may also include a bridge that may extend between the back wall and the post. The striker may also have at least one protrusion located along a side of the bridge that is capable of engaging the latch mechanism. The striker may further include a wedge located adjacent the back wall and capable of wedged engagement with the fishmouth.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a locking system for locking a lid of a portable electronic device, comprising at least a latch, a detent and a first return member. The latch has at least a first position of the latch and a second position of the latch, wherein the latch is connected to the lid in the first position of the latch, and the latch is disconnected from the lid in the second position of the latch. The detent has at least a first position of the detent and a second position of the detent, and the detent is adjusted to detain the latch in the second position of the latch. The first return member is adjusted to move the latch from the second position of the latch to the first position of the latch.
Abstract:
The invention is a cabinet lock for selectively locking a cabinet of a kind comprising a compartment structure (1) and a closure (2) movable relative to the compartment structure for selectively closing an opening of the compartment structure. The cabinet lock comprises of a latch bolt assembly (5) including a mounting (8) and a bolt (9) movably disposed with the mounting between a locking position and an unlocked position. Also provided is a striker (6) including a coupling region with which the bolt can couple to thereby isolate relative movement between the latch bolt and the striker in at least one direction lateral to the direction of movement of the bolt between its locking position and the unlocked position. The striker is engagable with the compartment structure and the latch bolt is engagable with the closure in a manner to place such in coupling proximity when the closure is in closing relation with the opening of the compartment structure. The latch bolt includes means to urge the bolt to the locking position. The striker includes an interference means movable to interfere with the movement of the bolt into coupling engagement with the coupling region of the striker to thereby prevent coupling.
