Abstract: A method of forming a high temperature sensor includes preparing a substrate having a surface from an electrically insulative material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), preparing an electrical conductor from a metal material having a second CTE that is different from the first CTE, and creating an interface between the electrical conductor and the substrate with a CTE blending medium that is provided between the substrate and the electrical conductor. The CTE blending medium accommodates differing thermal expansion rates of the sub state and the electrical conductor at temperatures of at least 700°C.

Abstract: An asset identification system includes a tool (200) having an axial dimension (204) and a radial dimension (206). There are three RFID devices (202) located on the tool (200), and the three RFID devices (202) are located at equal angles with respect to each other in the radial dimension (206). The system further includes a storage apparatus (100) configured to store the tool (200), and an RFID reader (104). At least one of the three RFID devices (202) located on the tool (200) is readable by the RFID reader (104) regardless of the radial orientation of the tool (200) with respect to the RFID reader (104).
