Abstract: A method and system for monitoring operations of a machine (100) operating at a worksite, is provided. The machine (100) includes an implement (118) for performing one or more implement operations and is powered by an engine (109). The method includes determining a first parameter corresponding to an engine speed associated with the engine (109), a second parameter indicative of vibrations detected inside the operator cabin and a third parameter indicative of a machine speed associated with the machine (100). The method further includes determining a machine operation as one of the loading operation (404), the dumping operation (408) and a travelling operation (412) based on one or more of the determined first parameter, second parameter and the third parameter.
