    Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder may include a housing and a rod extending from a working end positioned outside the housing through a rod end of the housing to a piston end positioned within the housing. The hydraulic cylinder may also include a piston arranged on the piston end of the rod and configured to articulate within the housing. The hydraulic cylinder may also include a cap end secured to the housing and having a pocket for receiving a sensor. The pocket may have a cylindrical sidewall. The cap end may include a bore extending therethrough and arranged generally tangential to the sidewall where the bore extends into the cap end, breaches the sidewall, and extends further passed the pocket. The hydraulic cylinder may also include a retention pin configured for placement in the bore and for an interference fit with the sensor when the sensor is arranged in the pocket.

    Abstract: An alternator (100) includes a housing (102) and a rotary shaft (118). The alternator (100) includes one or more brushes (136) supported by the housing (102). The alternator (100) includes a slip ring assembly (138, 638) coupled to the rotary shaft (118) for rotating with the rotary shaft (118). The slip ring assembly (138, 638) includes one or more slip rings (140, 640). The one or more slip rings (140, 640) include a body portion (142, 642) defining an outer surface (144, 644). The one or more slip rings (140, 640) also include an oxide layer (150, 650) disposed on the outer surface (144, 644) of the body portion (142, 642). The oxide layer (150, 650) is non-uniform. The oxide layer (150, 650) is formed on account of a thermal oxidation process of the one or more slip rings (140, 640) during an operation of the alternator (100). Further, the thermal oxidation process for formation of the oxide layer (150, 650) initiates when an operating temperature of one or more components of the alternator (100) lies within a predetermined temperature threshold range (R1, R2).

    Abstract: Replaceable holder system, including a mount (110) with a ramp (114) formed at a rear portion and with a bottom portion (122), a removable holder (200, 300) with a receptacle at one side of a back plate (202, 302) including a projection (222, 322) extending from an opposite side of said back plate (202, 302), and a cantilever (224, 324) extending from the opposite side of said back plate (202, 302), the cantilever (224, 324) having a securement projection catch (226, 326), the securement projection catch (226, 326) being located at a distal portion of the cantilever (224, 324).     Abstract: A work implement assembly (100) with replaceable tips comprises a tip and adapter assembly (118) including a base (300) that may take the form of an adapter, the base (300) including a male portion (302a) including a first projection (306a), and a second projection (328a) facing in a diametrically opposed manner to the first projection (306a).     Abstract: In one aspect, a track shoe assembly (120) may include a shoe plate (202) having a shoe plate body (230) including a shoe plate attachment surface (232), and at least two slots (254) extending through at least the shoe plate attachment surface. The track shoe assembly may also include a grouser (200) having a grouser body (204) having a grouser attachment surface (212), and at least two tabs (218), integrally formed with the grouser body, the at least two tabs extending from the grouser attachment surface, and perpendicular to the grouser attachment surface, the at least two tabs of the grouser being configured to be positioned within the at least two slots of the shoe plate. In another aspect, a method of manufacturing a track shoe assembly may include forming a shoe plate as described above, forming a grouser as described above, and attaching the grouser to the shoe plate to thereby form a track shoe assembly.

    Abstract: A hydraulic system may include a first actuator to control a first linkage member, a second actuator to control a second linkage member, a first primary hydraulic circuit and a first secondary hydraulic circuit that include the first actuator, a second primary hydraulic circuit and a second secondary hydraulic circuit that include the second actuator, a first pump to cause fluid to flow through the first primary hydraulic circuit and the second secondary hydraulic circuit, a second pump to cause fluid to flow through the second primary hydraulic circuit and the first secondary hydraulic circuit, and a controller. The controller may be configured to determine that an operator assistance mode is enabled, and cause closing of a first valve that controls fluid flow through the first secondary hydraulic circuit and a second valve that controls fluid flow through the second secondary hydraulic circuit.
