Abstract: A new process of molding uses a slip of narrow size range particles with a volume fraction of solids just below the rheological transition point so that the slip is pourable. Removal of a slight amount of pore fluid causes the slip to solidify, and which can be dried to a green piece with virtually no drying shrinkage.
