Abstract: A mounting pocket is provided for attaching a monitoring device to a pump bearing frame. The mounting pocket includes a recessed area located on an external side of the pump bearing frame, a flat surface within the recessed area; and at least four threaded mounting holes extending into the flat surface. At least a part of the drive bearing portion has a reduced radial wall thickness adjacent the flat surface. The threaded mounting holes are configured to receive threaded bolts from the monitoring device to secure the flat surface against a rear surface of the monitoring device. The flat surface is configured to transfer at least one of vibration or thermal energy from the pump bearing frame through the flat surface to the monitoring device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for remotely monitoring liquid lubricant levels for pump equipment. A system includes a reservoir to store lubricant and a lubrication gland to expose a shaft seal of the pump equipment to the lubricant. A feed line and a return line circulate the lubricant between the reservoir and the lubrication gland. A level sensor is configured to measure a fluid level in the reservoir. The level sensor uses a communication interface to transmit fluid level data a monitoring device mounted to the pump equipment. The monitoring device is configured to compare the fluid level data against stored alert thresholds and send, to a provider network, an alert signal when the fluid level data is below an alert threshold. If the fluid level data is not below an alert threshold, the monitoring device stores the fluid level data for periodic reporting.

Abstract: A device receives, from a user device, a request for a webpage, where the request is received in response to a scan of bar code affixed to a pump equipment or to an Internet of Things (IoT) device associated with the pump equipment. The device provides to the user device, upon receipt of the request, the webpage, where the webpage includes functionality for monitoring and controlling the pump or the IoT device. The device receives, as first user input from the user device, selection of an operational parameter of the pump and an adjustment to the selected operational parameter. The device sends, to the pump equipment or the IoT device, a message indicating the selected operational parameter and the adjustment to the selected operational parameter to control the selected operational parameter of the pump equipment.

Abstract: A magnetic adaptor (100) is provided for attaching a monitoring device (10) to monitored equipment (20). A mounting plate (110) of the adaptor (100) includes a front surface(114), a rear surface (112), and a recess (120) in the rear surface (112). A magnet (130) is secured within the recess (120). The mounting plate (110) also includes threaded mounting holes(116) arranged in a hole pattern that corresponds to a bolt pattern of the monitoring device(10). The threaded mounting holes (116) are configured to receive threaded bolts (30) from the monitoring device (10) to secure the front surface(114) against the monitoring device (10). The magnet (130) is configured to adhere to the monitored equipment (20) and cause at least a portion the rear surface (112) to contact the monitored equipment (20). The adaptor (100) transfers vibration and/or thermal energy from the monitored equipment (20) to the monitoring device (10).

Abstract: A device, system, and methods are provided for remotely monitoring pump equipment. A sensor device is provided as a one-piece unit that is mechanically mounted to a pump by a single threaded connection. The sensor device includes a vibration sensor and temperature sensor. The sensor device connects to a user device via a wireless personal area network (WPAN) connection to upload a current snapshot of vibration data and temperature data for the pump equipment. An application on the user device may add location data for the time of the data collection and connects to a provider network to upload the vibration data and temperature data.
