Abstract:
A fabric which is formed of fibers joined together by at least one of knitting, weaving and felting techniques, which is characterized by having a first non- adhesive solid state and a second adhesive solid state, which occurs subsequent to having passed through an adhesive non-solid state.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a biodegradable self-inflating or self opening intragastric implant for curbing appetite, constructed from one or more discrete expandable, stretchable and/or deformable members. The expandable elements are adapted to expand in vivo when in contact with gastric juice for a predetermined period of time and/or heated to about 37?C. At least a portion of the expandable elements are shape memory members and/or orientation memory being in their deflated state ex vivo, and further being in their native inflated state in vivo when in contact with gastric juice for a predetermined period of time or heated to the in vivo body temperature.
Abstract:
Described herein are bioerodible, biodegradable, or digestible self-deploying intragastric implants that may be swallowed. Once swallowed, the implants undergo self-expansion in the stomach and apply a suitable pressure against the stomach wall to provide a feeling of satiety to the individual. The implants then dissolve or are disassembled perhaps using gastric liquids and pass out of the stomach. Methods of using the devices, perhaps for an individual participating in a dietary control regimen, are described.
Abstract:
A method of enclosing liquids including the steps of encapsulating a first material within a second material to produce a capsule, locating the capsule in a liquid material to which the second material is permeable, and providing a liquid-enclosing capsule by allowing the liquid material to pass through the second material and thereby to be enclosed by the second material.
Abstract:
This invention deals with the electronic transfer, development, handling and charging of electronic book (eBook) loaning and selling. The e-Book loaning structure and user interface handling is suggested. The means to enhancing the eBook reading experience is suggested via various novel means including live electronic maps and drawings which are text related, moving images (pseodo movie like) related to text update etc. In addition a novel concept of updating the e-books while you read is introduced: where the user is able to change and update the content of the eBook giving him an intimately new experience in reading eBooks and Books in general. The e-Book reader is able to sell or loan parts of the eBook he obtained, whether by purchasing or borrowing. Further he may be actively stimulated to loan or sell the book he has, via a very sophisticated royalty system where it becomes beneficial for both the owner of the eBook and the reader to cause others to read it too. Finally, the user interface of the eBooks, and transfer mechanisms of the eBook and related media, between the various providers and consumers is given, completing the picture.

Abstract:
A matrix structure including first and second arrays of conductors (20) mutually arranged to define a matrix having matrix elements at intersections in two but not three dimensions of a conductor of the first array and a conductor of the second array, and voltage responsive conductive material (22) disposed intermediate the first and second arrays of conductors at locations at the intersections and at locations not at the intersections and being operative to be conductive only at locations thereat where there exists at least a predetermined voltage difference thereacross. A method for producing said matrix structure is also disclosed.
