Abstract: A connection unit is disclosed for connecting windings in the stator of a rotating electrical machine. The connection unit (40) has a body formed from an electrically insulating material, the body holding a plurality of electrically conductive rings (42) each of which is arranged to connect to a stator winding. The stator windings comprise coils, and each of the conductive rings comprises a terminal for connecting an end wire (38) of one coil and a start wire (36) of an adjacent coil to the conductive ring and to each other. This can facilitate assembly of the machine.
