Abstract: A baling wire or strip (400) comprises a solid extruded body (401) of thermoplastics material body comprising a substantially clover shaped cross- section as viewed in a direction transverse to a main axial length of said strip, the strip having a plurality of lobes (402-405) and between each set of adjacent lobes a corresponding respective set of indented or recessed regions (406-409), each indented or recessed region extending between a pair of said adjacent lobes, the arrangement being that said plurality of lobes are substantially equidistantly spaced apart in a circumferential direction, and said plurality of recessed regions are substantially equidistantly spaced apart in a circumferential direction, said lobes and recessed regions alternating with each other circumferentially, and each said recessed region comprising a plurality of raised protrusions extending radially outwardly from the centre of the strip.
