The present invention relates to a method of removing a gas from a mixture. The method includes contacting a silicone membrane with a feed mixture including at least a first gas component and contacting a second side of the membrane with an organosilicon sweep liquid, producing a retentate mixture depleted in the first gas component and an organosilicon sweep liquid enriched in the first gas component. The invention also provides methods of removing a gas from a liquid, and methods of regenerating and recycling an organosilicon sweep liquid.

Various embodiments disclosed relate to systems and methods for dehumidifying or humidifying air, and methods of using the same. In various embodiments, the present invention can provide an HVAC system including a radiant heat transfer device in fluid communication with a membrane module or a liquid contacting device. The membrane module or liquid contacting device can enrich or deplete water in a feed gas mixture including air.

The present invention relates to a membrane including a cured product of the hydrosilylation-curable silicone composition. This invention relates to organopolysiloxane compounds. In some embodiments, the organopolysiloxane compound includes a siloxane unit having at least one trialkylsilyl pendant group attached thereto through an organic group spacer. The present invention also relates to methods of making the organopolysiloxane, a hydrosilylation-curable silicone composition including the organopolysiloxane, a cured product of the silicone composition, a membrane including the cured product, a method of making the membrane, and a method of separating components in a feed mixture using the membrane.

The present invention relates to silicone membranes, and methods of making and using the same. The present invention provides a silicone membrane including a cured product of a mixture, the mixture including a film including a silicone elastomer having a plurality of silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms and a composition in contact with at least one side of the film including a poly(alkylene oxide) having at least one unsaturated aliphatic carbon-carbon bond. The present invention also includes methods of making the membrane, and methods of using the membrane.

The present invention relates to methods of separating one or more components from a feed composition, methods of desorbing one or more components from an absorbent fluid, as well as systems and apparatus that can carry out the methods. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method of separating one or more components from a feed composition including contacting at least some of a first component of a feed composition including the first component with an absorbent fluid, to provide a contacted composition and a used absorbent fluid including at least some of the first component contacted with the absorbent fluid. In some embodiments the absorbent fluid can be an organosilicon fluid including an organosilicon including at least one of a hydroxy group, an ether group, an acrylate group, a methacrylate group, an acrylamide group, a methacrylamide group, and a polyether group. In some embodiments, during the contacting the feed composition can be contacted to a first side of a membrane while the absorbent fluid is contacted to a second side of the membrane. In some embodiments, the membrane can be a silicone membrane.
