Abstract: The invention concerns a seat arrangement for a vehicle driver, in which arrangement a seat is connected to the vehicle such that the seat can be adjusted and locked in the direction of travel. When the vehicle is moving, the seat is in front of the vehicle-steering or operating units. The object of the invention is to develop a seat arrangement which, compared with existing arrangements of this type, simply and efficiently enables better use to be made of the freedom of movement, in particular when the driver is getting into and out of the vehicle. To this end, the seat arrangement comprises means for displacing the seat in translation in a horizontal direction which is inclined by a specific angle α relative to the direction of travel.
