Abstract: A grinder pump station (10) capable of having its height adjusted in the field during installation has a longitudinal tank having a substantially cylindrical non-corrugated inner wall (52) secured to a substantially cylindrical corrugated outer wall (54), a separate transition section (18) for mounting a grinder pump unit (34) within the longitudinal tank, a removable lid assembly (22) attached to the top of the longitudinal tank, and a base (32) attached to the bottom of the tank. The removable lid assembly (22) includes an electrical (76) and ventilation interface for the grinder pump unit (34) mounted in the tank, thereby facilitating adjustment of the height of the tank through variation in its longitudinal extent without interference with the electrical (76) and ventilation interface. Abstract: An integral, readily installed, universal pump assembly (18) has an integral, liquid-tight outer housing (19) for supporting within a single liquid-tight containment vessel an electric motor driven pump (21), and discharging liquid from a discharge outlet (24) of the pump (21). The assembly (18) includes at least one normal high and low liquid level sensing control pneumatic pressure operated electric switch (32) supported within the housing (19) for deriving on-off switching control signals for controlling normal on-off operation of the pump (21). At least one liquid level sensing diving bell (30) is supported on the housing (19) and has at least one lower open end exposed to the liquid in the collection tank (11) for deriving varying pressure pneumatic liquid level indicating signals for application to the pressure operated switch (32) for deriving the on-off control signal.
