摘要: Polyurethane shapes containing a core layer of a water soluble polymer such as polyethylene oxide (PEO) are produced by casting onto a surface (16) an aqueous mixture containing a pre-polymer of a hydrophilic polyurethane as a first layer (19) of uncured polyurethane, covering the uncured first layer with release paper (30) and compressing the layer, uncovering the uncured first layer and distributing PEO (42) on the uncured surface (40), applying a second layer of uncured polyurethane (62) on top of the PEO (42) while the polyurethane is still uncured, then covering the resulting mass with release paper (30) and compressing it to form an integrated, layered shaped article containing a core region enriched in PEO that when wetted releases PEO over an extended period. The second layer is applied by adhering about one-half of the first uncured foam layer (19) to the release paper (30) as the first uncured layer (19) is uncovered and then recombining the adhered material on top of the PEO (42) and further compressing the resulting mass to produce an integrated, layered shaped article. The second layer (62) can be applied, alternatively, by independently casting a second layer (62) of uncured polyurethane foam after distributing the PEO (42) and then compressing and curing. The PEO containing shapes are useful in making improved comfort strips for wet shaving razors. Shape products of the process where the core region- contains other specified working ingredients are useful in applications including bandages and wound dressings, cosmetic sponges, cleaning and polishing sponges, dry cleaning and anti-static sheets, and in household, industrial and environmental clean up and waste recovery.

摘要: A delivery system for a shaving aid material includes a hydrophilic foam pad or similar applicator device and shaving aid material disposed in the foam. The foam is attached to the razor cartridge such that during a shaving operation, the foam is squeezed against the user's skin and the shaving aid material is dispelled from the foam. The shaving aid material is a water soluble composition that may be impregnated into the foam, which may be a nanofoam. A razor cartridge with which the delivery system may be used has a frame that defines a skin-contacting surface, at least one razor blade located in the frame, and the shaving aid delivery system coupled to the skin-contacting surface. A shaving implement having a handle and a razor cartridge attached thereto has the shaving aid delivery system attached to the razor cartridge.

摘要: A wet shave razor assembly includes a shaving aid delivery system surrounding a razor cartridge. The shaving aid delivery system includes a hydrophilic foam having a water soluble shaving preparation disposed therein. During a wet shave operation, the hydrophilic foam is compressed as the razor is stroked across a user's skin. The hydrophilic foam is an open-cell structure defined by a plurality of supporting elements that cooperate to form tortuous paths. The hydrophilic foam can also include closed cells, or it can be a combination of open cells and closed cells. The shaving preparation is disposed in the paths and/or closed cells. A combination razor cartridge/shaving aid delivery system assembly can be releasably attached to a handle. The razor cartridge may be movable relative to the hydrophilic foam and include a mechanism allowing such movement housed in the handle, or it can be fixed relative to the hydrophilic foam.

摘要: A method and apparatus include a terminal device receiving a first message from a server that hosts a service available to the terminal device. The first message includes information about at least one attribute relating to a changeability of that at least one attribute having been changed. The terminal device sends a second message to the server in response to the first message that includes information identifying the information about the at least one attribute of the first message. The terminal device receives a third message from the server that includes information indicating a changeability setting for each of the at least one attribute identified in the first message. The terminal device updates how a user interface for the service is to be displayed so the user interface is displayed with attributes relating to the service being indicated as changeable or unchangeable in accordance with the third message.

摘要: A method and apparatus include a first server that communicates with a second server to cause a call back request to be communicated to an endpoint so that the endpoint can initiate a call back connection with the first server or a third server. Such a call back connection may occur near real time or in substantially real time so that updates can be supplied to an endpoint running an application supported by the server quickly and efficiently. The endpoint may register with the second server such that the second server is able to utilize notification messages for providing call back request information to the endpoint to advise the endpoint of a call back request.

摘要: This invention relates to a gripping device (10), e.g. a surgical retrieval device. The device includes an inversible tubular member (28), which is composed of interengaged stitches of resiliently flexible filamentary material and which is progressively transformable between an everted condition and an inverted condition. The device includes also actuation means (12,20) carrying the inversible tubular member and operable for effecting progressive inversion and eversion of the inversible tubular member. Through progressive inversion of the inversible tubular member, an object can be gripped thereby.
