摘要: A knit sleeve for providing thermal protection about an elongate member contained therein and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a knit inner wall with opposite edges extending lengthwise between opposite ends and a circumferentially continuous tubular outer wall knit integrally with the inner wall. The outer wall bounds a central cavity that extends lengthwise along a central axis between open opposite ends of the outer wall. The opposite edges of the inner wall are substantially parallel to the central axis and are wrappable toward one another to form the inner wall as being tubular. The circumferentially continuous tubular outer wall is configured to be everted about the wrapped inner wall to circumferentially surround and protect the inner wall from abrasion and provide the sleeve with a dual layer wall.

摘要: A sleeve (10) for protecting an elongate member (11), including a bus-bar (11) of a battery pack (B), and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve (10) includes a knit wall (12) having a circumferentially continuous outer surface (13) extending along a longitudinal axis (18) between opposite open ends (14, 16). The knit wall (12) is formed at least in part by multifilament flame-resistant yarn (22). The multifilament flame-resistant yarn (22) is knit to form both the knit wall (12), and also first ribs (R) extending lengthwise along the circumferentially continuous outer surface (13) or second ribs (R) extending annularly about said circumferentially continuous outer surface (13). An impervious, flame-resistant coating (26) is bonded to an outer surface (13) of the circumferentially continuous knit wall (12).

摘要: A textile sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member against abrasion and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a flexible wall having a plurality of yarns interlaced with one another. At least some of the plurality of yarns are provided as improved multifilament yarns having low-melt filaments and non-low-melt filaments. The low-me!t filaments have a first melt temperature and the non-iow-melt filaments having a second melt temperature, with the second melt temperature being greater than the first melt temperature. The low-melt filaments are bonded with the non-low-melt filaments to prevent relative sliding movement therebetween.

摘要: A wrappable, woven sleeve includes a wall (11) having opposite edges extending lengthwise between opposite ends, with the opposite edges being wrappable into overlapping relation to bound a central cavity (24). The wall has a plurality of layers extending from one edge to the opposite edge and from one end to the opposite end in overlying relation with one another. Each of the layers include warp yarns and fill yarns woven together. The wrapped wall has a radially outermost layer (26a) and a radially innermost layer (26d). The radially outermost layer (26a) has at least one of a first tightness and/or first width and the radially innermost layer (26d) has at least one of a second tightness and/or second width, with the first tightness and first width being greater than the second tightness and second width.

Warp yams extend generally parallel to the central axis and fill yams extend generally transversely to the warp yams. At least a portion of the wall has a plurality of layers in abutment with one another. At least one of the fill yarns is provided as a shrinkable yarn that provides the wall with an ability to remain in a first, diametrically enlarged assembly state to facilitate assembly of the sleeve about the elongate member, whereupon the wall can be radially constricted to a second, diametrically constricted assembled state to maintain the sleeve m the desired location, while also minimizing the outer circumference to facilitate use of the sleeve in tight spaces.

摘要: A woven sleeve and method of construction are provided. The sleeve (10,10') has a flexible, abrasion resistant elongate wall (12,12') constructed from woven monofilament and/or multifilament yarns. The wall is configured to bound a cavity extending along a central axis(18) of the sleeve. The wall is woven with warp yarns (23) that extend generally parallel to the central axis of the sleeve and fill yarns (24) that extend circumferentially about the sleeve, generally transversely to the central axis. The warp yarns are bundled into individual, discrete groups (22), with each group (22) including a plurality of yarns (23) in side-by-side relation with one another, wherein each of the yarns (23) within the same discrete group (22) is interlaced over the same side of a common fill yarn (24).
