    摘要: Footwear with integrally knit uppers having features for increasing containment around a wearer's foot, improving strength and durability, and incorporating touch feedback through increased coefficient of friction while removing weight due to traditional additional components. The knitted component may be radially knitted so that courses converge towards a common area, like the throat region of the upper. Additionally, a fusible yarn may be knit on at least the exterior-facing surface of a containment area of the knitted component to create additional lock-down along lines of containment. Further, tensile elements may be incorporated within the containment area to provide strength and lock-down along desired lines of containment. Additionally, the fusible yarn may be a grip yarn that creates areas with greater coefficients of friction.

The fabric in question is a one-piece, machine-finished, fabric produced with a layering of components but without interruptions, seams or raw edges either around the edges or in other zones, allowing said fabric to adapts perfectly to the morphology of the part of the body with which it comes into contact, also due to the presence of differentiated thicknesses in the knit sequences achieved through differentiated interwoven sections in the machining, so as to guarantee good grip and protection for the parts of the human anatomy with which it comes into contact.

The invention provides a method for forming an oblique striped pattern of the knitted fabric using a double-sided flat-knitting machine, in which: a plurality of needles are installed, at certain intervals, on a front needle valve and a rear needle valve; and a carrier forms stitches by reciprocating on said needle valves, thereby forming the striped pattern, wherein while the needles are arranged such that the needles installed on the rear needle valve are positioned to be matched with the needles installed on the front needle valve, the front needle valve is fixed and the rear needle valve is moved in one direction at certain intervals, whereby stitches are formed at separated intervals as much as said intervals, at which the arranged needles which are installed on the front needle valve and the rear needle valve are moved.
