摘要:
Footwear with integrally knit uppers having features for increasing containment around a wearer's foot, improving strength and durability, and incorporating touch feedback through increased coefficient of friction while removing weight due to traditional additional components. The knitted component may be radially knitted so that courses converge towards a common area, like the throat region of the upper. Additionally, a fusible yarn may be knit on at least the exterior-facing surface of a containment area of the knitted component to create additional lock-down along lines of containment. Further, tensile elements may be incorporated within the containment area to provide strength and lock-down along desired lines of containment. Additionally, the fusible yarn may be a grip yarn that creates areas with greater coefficients of friction.

A circular knitting machine comprises a plurality of sinkers of a first type (7, 25) configured for cooperating with needles to make a first type of knitting stitch; a plurality of sinkers of a second type (8, 9) configured for cooperating with the needles for making a second type of knitting stitch. First selectors (11', 27) are coupled with the sinkers of the first type (7, 25) by oscillating in a radial plane between a rest position and an operating position so as to deviate the butt (14, 30) of the sinker of the first type (7, 25) along a trajectory of a first guide (39). Second selectors (11) coupled with the sinkers of the second type (8, 9) by oscillating in a radial plane between a rest position and an operating position and acts indirectly upon a respective sinker of the second type (8, 9) so as to deviate the butt (17) of the sinker of the second type (8, 9) along a trajectory of a second guide (42). A fixed selecting actuator (24) can be engaged upon command with the first and/or with the second selectors (11', 27, 11) and is configured for causing the first and/or the second selectors (11', 27, 11) to switch from the rest position to the operating position.

The present invention relates to an engineered fabric substantially constituted of an internal core (2) covered by a pair of external layers (3 and 4) of knitted fabric with different thicknesses resulting from the use of different yarns, in addition to as the type of machining on the same row, wherein the said core is composed of a yarn with a particular machining which serves as a cavity and as a connection between the two external layers, where said machining is an intertwining of the yarn used in the weave of the fabric, whose final effect is a sort of zigzagging of the yarn, which engages once with the internal side of one (external) layer and then again with the internal side of the other (external) layer and the external layers which cover the core are made with a knitting machine with multiple needle beds and can be the same on both sides or can feature different machining. The fabric in question is a one-piece, machine-finished, fabric produced with a layering of components but without interruptions, seams or raw edges either around the edges or in other zones, allowing said fabric to adapts perfectly to the morphology of the part of the body with which it comes into contact, also due to the presence of differentiated thicknesses in the knit sequences achieved through differentiated interwoven sections in the machining, so as to guarantee good grip and protection for the parts of the human anatomy with which it comes into contact.

An article of footwear includes an upper incorporating a knitted component formed of unitary knit construction. The knitted component includes portions having courses aligned along different knitting directions, including a first knitting direction and a second knitting direction. The knitting direction of the courses transitions gradually from the first direction to the second direction. The knitting direction of the courses of the knitted component is configured to be aligned so as to distribute forces acting on the knitted component when the article of footwear is worn during a sport or athletic activity.

A method for manufacturing a weft knit fabric with knitting with a double border closed transversely at least one of its ends or at an intermediate region thereof with a knitting machine for knitting with reciprocating motion and a fabric obtained with the method. The method comprises: an initial knitting step (F1), in which the needles arranged in a sector (A) of the needle holder are moved to knit at a feed or drop in order to form knitting; a central knitting step (FC), in which the needle holder is actuated with a reciprocating motion with respect to the feed and in which the needles of the sector (A) are divided, according to a preset selection, into active needles, which can be moved to knit at the feed, alternated with inactive needles, which remain excluded from knitting at the feed during the central knitting step (FC), retaining in their tip or head the last loop of knitting formed during the initial knitting step (F1). The central knitting step (FC) comprises: a first fraction (FC1), in which the active needles located in a first region (A1) of the sector (A) are actuated to knit at the feed and form knitting and the active needles located in at least one second region (A2) of the sector (A), which is contiguous or adjacent to the first region (A1), are moved progressively to knit at the feed starting from the end of the second region (A2) that borders the first region (A1) and increasing progressively the number of active needles of the second region (A2) moved to knit at the feed at each at least one cycle, composed of a forward motion and a return motion, of the reciprocating motion of the needle holder with respect to the feed; a second fraction (FC2) of the central knitting step (FC), in which the active needles located in the first region (A1) of the sector (A) are actuated to knit at the feed and form knitting as in the first fraction (FC1) of the central knitting step (FC) and the active needles located in the second region (A2) of the sector (A) are excluded progressively from knitting at the feed, starting from the end of the second region (A2) that lies opposite the first region (A1) and decreasing progressively the number of active needles of the second region (A2) that are moved to knit at the feed at each at least one cycle, composed of a forward motion and a return motion, of the reciprocating motion of said needle holder with respect to the feed, retaining in their tip or head the last formed loop of knitting. Then, in a final knitting step (FF), knitting with all the needles of the sector (A) is resumed.

The present invention relates to a method for forming an oblique striped pattern when the knitted fabric is knitted by using a double-sided flat-knitting machine and a knitting method of the knitted fabric thereof, and more specifically, to a method for forming an oblique striped pattern when the knitted fabric is knitted by using a double-sided flat-knitting machine and a knitting method of the knitted fabric thereof, wherein: the knitted fabric is cut such that a striped pattern, which is formed after the knitted fabric has been knitted by using a double-sided flat-knitting machine, is in an oblique direction; and the striped pattern is formed in the oblique direction on the knitted fabric (knitwear) that was knitted in the flat-knitting machine itself even without moving the direction. The invention provides a method for forming an oblique striped pattern of the knitted fabric using a double-sided flat-knitting machine, in which: a plurality of needles are installed, at certain intervals, on a front needle valve and a rear needle valve; and a carrier forms stitches by reciprocating on said needle valves, thereby forming the striped pattern, wherein while the needles are arranged such that the needles installed on the rear needle valve are positioned to be matched with the needles installed on the front needle valve, the front needle valve is fixed and the rear needle valve is moved in one direction at certain intervals, whereby stitches are formed at separated intervals as much as said intervals, at which the arranged needles which are installed on the front needle valve and the rear needle valve are moved.
