Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non-woven fabric comprising a first non-woven web suitable for use in a hygiene absorbent article, which web comprises a side which is provided with a first pattern of individualised bonded areas which defines a second pattern of non-bonded areas which non-bonded areas have a hexagonal type of shape, and wherein the surface of the bonded areas is in the range of 10-30 % of the total surface of the side and the surface of the non-bonded area is in the range of from 70-90 % of the total surface of the side. The present invention further relates to an absorbent article comprising the present non-woven fabric, and a process for forming the non-woven fabric.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a nonwoven fabric comprising a nonwoven web which is formed from a plurality of trilobal fibers, wherein the lobes of the trilobal fibers each have a ratio of length to width in the range of from 1.5-4. The present invention also relates to the use of the nonwoven fabric in a closure system in an absorbent article or in a reinforcement layer of an absorbent article. In addition, the present invention provides an absorbent article comprising the nonwoven fabric.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a nonwoven fabric comprising a nonwoven web which is formed from a plurality of trilobal fibers, wherein the lobes of the trilobal fibers each have a ratio of length to width in the range of from 1.5-4, the nonwoven web has a basis weight in the range of from 5-20 gsm, the nonwoven web has a side which is provided with a pattern of bonded areas which defines one or more non-bonded areas, and wherein the surface of the bonded areas is in the range of 10-32 % of the total surface of the side and the surface of the non-bonded area(s) is in the range of from 68-90 % of the total surface of the side. The invention further relates to the use of the present nonwoven fabric. In addition, the present invention also relates to an absorbent article comprising the present nonwoven fabric.
Abstract:
Process of preparing meltblown fibers that are reclaimed from a starting material of a polypropylene component and a sustainable polymer component is provided. In one aspect, the method includes blending starting fibers of a polypropylene component and a sustainable polymer component under heat to form a molten stream, and then vis-breaking the components to obtain a polymeric blend that is suitable for use in meltblowing applications. The molten stream of the vis-broken polymer components are extruded through a meltblowing die to form a stream of meltblown fibers that is then collected on a collection surface to form a coherent meltblown web. The starting material may be bicomponent filaments having a sheath-core configuration in which the polypropylene component is oriented in the sheath and the sustainable polymer component is oriented in the core of the filaments. The invention is also directed to meltblown fibers and webs prepared from the process.
Abstract:
Extensible nonwoven fabrics having improved elongation, extensibility, abrasion resistance and toughness. In particular, embodiments of the invention are directed to extensible spunbond fabrics comprising a polymeric blend of a metallocene catalyzed polypropylene, polyethylene, and a third polymer component.
