Abstract: Improved fishing lines (15), and specifically fly lines, and methods of manufacture and use thereof are disclosed. The line (15) includes a core line portion (28) and a coating portion (30), the coating (30) including a copolymer of polyolefin and acrylic material, the polyolefin preferably being polyethylene. The lines provided include a clear floating fly line (15) having a nylon core and ethylene acrylic acid copolymer coating.
