    Abstract: The present disclosure provides an intraoral imaging system. The intraoral imaging system may comprise an intraoral adapter. The intraoral adapter may be operably coupled to a mobile device. The intraoral adapter may comprise an elongated housing comprising a viewing channel. The viewing channel may define a field of view of an intraoral region of a subject's mouth for intraoral scanning using a camera of a mobile device. The elongated housing may comprise a flange that is positioned outside of the field of view of the intraoral region of the subject's mouth. The intraoral imaging system may further comprise an image processing unit configured to (i) process a plurality of intraoral images and/or videos captured using the camera of the mobile device, and (ii) determine a dental condition of the subject based at least in part on the plurality of intraoral images and/or videos.

    Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for monitoring progress or predicting an outcome of a tooth whitening regimen, including a method to monitor progress or predict an outcome of a tooth whitening regimen, comprising: (a) providing an adapter comprising a viewing channel configured to define a field of view of an intraoral region of a subject's mouth, wherein one or more teeth are visible in the field of view of the subject's mouth; (b) providing a color reference target comprising one or more color samples, wherein the color reference target appears in the field of view of the subject's mouth, and wherein each of the one or more color samples is associated with a reference color or shade; (c) using the color reference target to identify the color or shade of the one or more teeth; and (d) predicting the outcome of the tooth whitening regimen based on the identified color or shade of the one or more teeth and, optionally, one or more properties of the one or more teeth.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides method for generating a three-dimensional (3D) model of a dental structure of a subject. The method comprises: capturing image data about the dental structure of the subject using a camera of a mobile device; constructing a first 3D model of the dental structure from the image data; registering the first 3D model with an initial 3D surface model to determine a transformation for at least one element of the dental structure; and updating the initial 3D surface model by (i) applying the transformation to update a position of the at least one element and/or (ii) deforming a surface of a local area of the at least one element using a deformation algorithm.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for remote dental monitoring. In an aspect, the present disclosure provides a computer-implemented method for remote dental monitoring. The method may comprise (a) providing a patient portal for one or more patients to remotely communicate with a caregiver, wherein the patient portal comprises a graphical user interface that is configured to aid the one or more patients in capturing one or more dental scans, wherein the one or more dental scans comprise (i) one or more intraoral videos and (ii) a plurality of images derived from the one or more intraoral videos; and (b) providing the one or more dental scans to the caregiver for an assessment of a dental condition based on the one or more dental scans.
