    Abstract: A screw bit body which allows for efficient torque force application onto a socket fastener. The screw bit body includes a plurality of laterally-bracing sidewalls, a first base, and a second base. The laterally-bracing sidewalls are radially distributed about a rotation axis of the screw bit body with each further including a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, a bracing surface, and an engagement cavity. The engagement cavity creates an additional gripping point to prevent slippage in between the screw bit body and the socket fastener. The engagement cavity traverses normal and into the bracing surface. Additionally, the engagement cavity traverses into the screw bit body from the first base to the second base. The engagement cavity is specifically positioned offset from the first lateral edge by a first distance and positioned offset from the second lateral edge by a second distance.

    Abstract: A power driven direct drive ratchet/wrench tool allows a user to tighten and loosen fasteners in tight spaces efficiently and effectively. The tool includes a tool housing, a fastener-engagement body, a spur gear, a drive shaft, and a plurality of drive pins. The tool housing acts as the structural element and includes a ratchet head, a tubular handle, and a gear-receiving cavity. The ratchet head is terminally connected to the tubular handle. The gear-receiving cavity laterally traverses into the ratchet head and houses the spur gear and the fastener-engagement body. The drive shaft is rotatably mounted within the tubular handle. The plurality of drive pins is connected to a proximal base of the drive shaft, about a rotation axis of the drive shaft. In order to transmit torque, an at least one arbitrary pin from the plurality of drive pins is mechanically engaged to the spur gear.

    Abstract: A hinged handheld tool that includes an integrated power transmission mechanism to allow a user to increase an output pressure onto an external object. The handheld tool includes a first tool-part assembly and a second tool-part assembly, wherein each includes a hand lever, a jaw-receiving cavity, an independent jaw, and a cam. The independent jaw engages the external object and comprises an engagement end and a tapered end. The hand lever is the grasping element for the user. The hand lever of the first tool-part assembly and the second tool-part assembly are terminally and pivotably connected to each other about a fulcrum axis. The independent jaw is pivotably connected to the hand lever within the jaw-receiving cavity. The cam is rotatably mounted within the jaw-receiving cavity, in between the hand lever and the tapered end. The cam and the tapered end are mechanically coupled to yield a ratchet-type mechanism.

    Abstract: A wrench-type tool that utilizes a plurality of engagement features to efficiently transfer torque to a fastener in order to rotate said fastener. The wrench-type tool includes a wrench-type torque-tool body. The wrench-type torque-tool body is the physical structure used to apply a torque force onto the fastener and includes a plurality of internal sidewalls and a plurality of engagement teeth. The plurality of internal sidewalls is radially distributed about a pivot axis of the wrench-type torque-tool body. Each of the plurality of engagement teeth is adjacently connected to a corresponding sidewall from the plurality of internals sidewalls in order to directly engage the sidewalls of the fastener. To increase the total contact surface with the fastener, a prismatic altitude for each of the plurality of engagement teeth is aligned parallel to the pivot axis. Furthermore, each of the plurality of engagement teeth is oriented towards the pivot axis.
