    Abstract: A method (10) for determining a scalp (21) type of a user (20), the method (10) comprising: obtaining a value indicative of a humidity level (111) of a region of the scalp (21) of the user (20) and a value indicative of a sebum level (112) in the region of the scalp (21) of the user (20), comparing a set comprising both values to reference ranges of scalp humidity levels (111) and sebum levels (112), the reference ranges forming at least five scalp groups (131-135), each scalp group (131-135) being associated with a humidity level (111) range and a sebum level (112) range, and with a corresponding category of skin and/or hair care compositions and/or skin and/or hair care treatments compatible with humidity level (111) range and sebum level (112) range, identifying, based on the comparison, the scalp (21) type of the user (20) and outputting the identified scalp (21) type.

A shampoo or scalp serum composition, comprising a microbiome regulator for selectively inhibiting Cutibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis on scalp, which is a compound containing two or more alcoholic hydroxyl groups or phenolic hydroxyl groups and three to sixteen carbon atoms per molecule, or the mixture thereof.
