Abstract: In one example, media guide latching may include a media pathway device, comprising: a first guide coupled to a first pivot point and a second guide coupled to a second pivot point, a first latch bar is to interact with the first guide to lock the first guide on a first side of a media pathway, a second latch bar is to interact with the second guide to lock the second guide on a second side of the media pathway, and a handle coupled to the first latch bar and the second latch bar to enable alteration of a position of the first latch bar and the second latch bar in response to application of a force on the handle.

Abstract: A printer pick assembly may include a motor to rotate a drive gear. A swing arm may be selectively pivoted to engage the drive gear with a pick gear of a pick roller. A forked pick lever can be pivoted between a home state and a pick-up state. In the pick-up state, the forked pick lever raises print media into contact with the pick roller. The swing arm may engage the drive gear with the pick gear to cause the pick roller to feed the print media into a printer while the forked pick lever is in the pick-up state. A forked control surface of the forked pick lever may selectively lock the swing arm to arrest rotation of the pick gear and associated pick roller when the forked pick lever is in the home state.

Abstract: A pick attempt of a media sheet from a media tray is initiated by rotating a pick roller a number of rotations that is set to greater than one in response to the sheet having been designated as a special media sheet type and that is set to one in response to the sheet not having been so designated. In response to a pick sensor detecting the sheet after the pick attempt has been attempted, a turn roller is rotated to advance the sheet to a print engine, and while the turn roller is rotating, the pick roller is rotated to assist advancement of the media sheet. A controller manages per-sheet and per-tray pick attempt counters while the sheet is individually attempted to be picked and advanced, using the counters to determine whether to initiate another pick attempt of the sheet when a current pick attempt has failed.
