Abstract:
A cutting machine for window shades comprising a head rail, a bottom rail, and a plurality of light blocking sections. The cutting machine comprises a body with a platform for supporting the window shade, a clamp mechanism for securing the window shade, a blade rotationally connected to the body for cutting the window shade, and an actuating mechanism. The actuating mechanism is operatively connected to the blade, causing the blade to move in a rotational movement for cutting the secured window shade.
Abstract:
A suspension cord control mechanism composed of an arresting mechanism and a biasing mechanism operable to move a light blocking element after the user has released a suspension cord. The biasing mechanism is loaded when the suspension cord is drawn by a user to lift the window covering. When the suspension cord is released, movement of the cord is stopped by the arresting mechanism and the biasing mechanism unloads to further move the light blocking element.
Abstract:
A window covering including a plurality of panels vertically suspended from a vertical securement member is provided. The plurality of panels is secured with the securement member about an upper transverse portion of the panels at spaced intervals along the securement member. The closure rows are convertible between different configurations by detaching the lower transverse portions of the closure rows from the suspension members.
Abstract:
A control mechanism for use in a window covering to control the raising and lowering of one or more control cords to open and close light blocking elements is provided. The control mechanism includes a frame which is mountable within a support structure, such as the headrail, and includes as a first abutment stop and a second abutment stop. The position of the frame of the control mechanism is slidingly adjustable relative to the head rail to accommodate different width window spaces.
Abstract:
A fastener module suitable for use with a window covering having a plurality of openable rows is provided. More particularly, the fastener module enables engagement and disengagement of control cords from panels of a window covering.
Abstract:
A fastener module and fabric panel suitable for use with a window covering having a plurality of openable rows is provided. More particularly, the fastener module enables engagement and disengagement of control cords from panels of a window covering.
Abstract:
Cellular panels may be suspended from head rails through the use of a rigid strip of material positioned with the cellular panel. In order to securely position the rigid strip and cellular panel with respect to the head rail, a securement insert is provided. The securement insert includes a cap securable with the head rail by an interference fit and a slot member including a restricting member extending from the cap.
Abstract:
An improved Venetian blind type window covering having an open position and a closed position is provided. The window covering includes a plurality of panels suspended between a head rail and a bottom rail that provides a generally billowed appearance. A securement member and an adjustment member, in cooperation, are suitable for adjustably moving or tilting the plurality of blind panels to open and close the window covering. A tilting mechanism causes positional adjustment of the plurality of panels by raising and lowering at least the adjustment member.
Abstract:
A control mechanism for use in a window covering to control the raising and lowering of one or more control cords to open and close light blocking elements is provided. The control mechanism includes a frame which is mountable within a support structure, such as the headrail, and includes as a first abutment stop and a second abutment stop. A sliding module is mounted with the frame and is also secured with the control cord. The first abutment stop limits or arrests the movement of the sliding module at a first position, and the second abutment stop maintains the sliding module at a second position.
Abstract:
A control module may be used for raising and lowering a window shade. This configuration allows a user to pull the operating cord a predetermined distance to raise the window shade, then release the operating cord until it has retracted, and then pull the operating cord another predetermined distance to raise the window shade again. A brake mechanism is operably connected to a brake release and configured to lock or unlock the drive axle. A clutch is adapted to be mounted on the axle for selectively engaging the cord drum to the axle. The cord drum may rotate independent of the drive axle when a clutch is disengaged from the drive axle. As a result, movement of the operating cord will not cause the window shade to raise while the clutch is disengaged. When the clutch is engaged with the drive axle, the cord drum and adapter sleeve may rotate together to drive the rotation of the drive axle for raising the window shade.
