Abstract: In one embodiment, a system is provided. The system includes a set of pallets to hold a set of parcels. The system also includes a conveyor system to move the set of pallets to and from a transportation pod. The system further includes a lift system to lift the set of pallets to different heights within the transportation pod. The system further includes a storage system to store a set of parcels. The system further includes a mechanical arm to move the set of parcels from the storage system to the set of pallets.

Abstract: A system for design, modeling, simulation, and analysis of transportation systems is described herein. The system may obtain a set of configuration data for a set of transportation systems. The system may generate a set of models for the set of transportation systems based on the set of configuration data. The system may simulate operations of the proposed transportation system and the one or more other transportation systems based the set of models. The system may also obtain a set of performance metrics for the set of transportation systems based on the simulation.

Abstract: Merging transportation pods onto transportation lines. A method includes requesting movement information associated with a set of transportation pods that will pass a junction. The method also includes determining whether to merge from the second transportation line to the first transportation line via the junction at the first time based on the movement information. The method further includes merging from the second transportation line to the first transportation line at the junction at the first time, in response to determining that the first transportation pod should merge from the second transportation line to the first transportation line via the junction at the first time.
