摘要: Making ultra-stable measurement of fluid/gas species such as ozone in a mixture. A light source (50) provides visible light corresponding to the maximum and minimum absorption wavelengths for the gas component of interest. The gas is supplied to a cell or cuvette (10) having optical input end and optical output end. The light sources (50) are coupled to a first sample optical path (22b) which provides light from the sources (50) to the optical input end of the cell (10), and to a second "reference" optical path (24) which does not pass through the sample gas. A sensor apparatus (57) is disposed to receive the light transmitted through the cell (10), and through the second optical path (24). The sensor (57) provides electrical outputs representative of the intensity of light impinging thereon, the outputs being provided to a processor (30) operative to calculate the concentration of the ozone or other gas component of interest in the gas cell (10).

摘要: A gas detection and measurement system includes a light source (10), a light sensor (18), a test cell body (12) having a first fluid port (28) and a second fluid port (30), and first and second optical paths (34, 36) from the light source (10) to the light sensor (18) through the test cell (12). The first and second optical paths (34, 36) have different lengths. As fluid flows through the test cell body (12), light intensity measurements are taken along the first and second optical paths (34, 36) so that the concentration of a target gas within the fluid can be calculated.
