Abstract:
The disclosure pertains to a method implemented in a Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU) for multiple Transmission and Reception Points (TRPs) Power Headroom Reports (PHRs). The method includes sending capability information indicating that the WTRU is configured to support simultaneous multi-panel (SMP) transmission. The method additionally includes determining that a power headroom report (PHR) has been triggered, and receiving downlink control information (DCI) comprising uplink grant information, the DCI indicating a multi-panel mode of operation. The method further includes determining one or more PH values for the PHR, wherein the one or more PH values are determined based on at least the multi-panel mode of operation indicated in the DCI and whether the PHR was triggered based on an SMP PL determination. The method also includes sending the PHR comprising the one or more PH values.
Abstract:
Methods and devices are described for communication using proximity services (ProSe). An aggregate maximum bit rate parameter (AMBR) may limit a data rate that may be transmitted by one or more ProSe bearers. A wireless transmit-receive unit (WTRU) may request authorization from the network prior to establishing a ProSe bearer specifying a required quality of service (QoS) or other requirements. Each ProSe bearer may have a corresponding EPS bearer to support service continuity. Packets may be evaluated by a WTRU first using a ProSe check to determine if the packet is destined for a ProSe bearer and then using a packet filter or filters in order of precedence. Embodiments may include methods of initiation communication after discovery. Embodiments may include methods of maintaining session continuity when traffic is switched between an evolved packet system (EPS) bearer and a ProSe bearer.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, systems, devices, and computer program products directed to enhancements to proximity-based services (ProSe) direct discovery are provided. Among the methods is a method that may be implemented in a proximity services (ProSe) function and that may include receiving a discovery request message including a ProSe application identifier; determining whether or not the ProSe function can retrieve a valid ProSe application code corresponding to the ProSe application identifier; and transmitting a reject-type discovery response message conditioned on the determining that a valid ProSe application code is not available to the ProSe function.
Abstract:
Location and other status information may be communicated between Proximity Service (ProSe) users. A ProSe function may retrieve a ProSe WTRU's location data from SLP and provide it to a monitoring WTRU via a ProSe discovery procedure or EPC-level ProSe discovery procedure. A ProSe function may retrieve a ProSe WTRU's location data from a ProSe WTRU and provide it to monitoring WTRUs via a ProSe discovery procedure. A ProSe WTRU may broadcast its location and/or other status information in a discovery message. A ProSe function may encrypt the location and/or other status information for encryption before broadcast. A ProSe WTRU may send its location and/or other status information via a user plane to another ProSe WTRU or ProSe group. A ProSe function may verify whether a WTRU is permitted to disclose and/or process information (e.g., location information) and may indicate to a WTRU whether to disclose information, e.g., before the information is disclosed, and/or whether to process the information.
Abstract:
Procedures for dynamically activating and deactivating proximity services (ProSe) enabled WTRU-to-Network (NW) relays are described. Control plane procedures to establish a link between remote WTRUs and WTRU-NW relays are described. Procedures for performing mobility from infrastructure mode to relay mode and relay mode to infrastructure mode are described. Procedures for performing session continuity and IP address preservation are described. Triggers for session continuity are defined for use by the WTRU. Methods to support multicast relay for an out-of-coverage WTRU, including determining Temporary Mobile Group Identities (TMGIs) are also described. Methods to register and update multimedia broadcast multicast services (MBMS) session refresh timers in a relay WTRU when a new WTRU is added, when a WTRU leaves the group, or when a session is updated in the network are also described. Methods for supporting system information block (SIB) forwarding are also described.
