Abstract: Filtering unit designed for use in air exhaust systems to remove impurities from the air to be exhausted, said unit comprising at least one cylindrical and essentially vertical separating chamber (1) provided with inflow (2) and outflow openings (3). The inflow opening consists of a longitudinal aperture in the cylindrical wall (4) of the separating chamber (1), said aperture opening essentially tangentially into the chamber and increasing in width in the downward direction.
