Abstract: The invention relates to a user interface (100) for use by a patient, e.g. a stroke victim, for controlling video and images displayed on a patient display (170). The user interface includes display components (111-113) for displaying images and video created from visual object data. The display components are selectable by the patient so that by selection of display component, images or video displayed on the display component will be displayed in full on the patient display. The user interface is configured so that the display components resemble corresponding display units (171-173) of the patient display. The display components and other buttons may have a size and may be centered in the user interface (100) to ease use of the user interface for patients having a reduced ability to operate buttons on a user interface.
