Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus, a system and a method for reducing standby power of an electronic appliance, and an apparatus for reducing standby power of an electrical outlet. The apparatus for reducing the standby power of the electronic appliance includes: a starting switch connected to an external power source for providing power from the external power source to the electronic appliance through a first channel, operating the electronic appliance by providing an operation signal for operating the electronic appliance to the electronic appliance, and disconnecting the external power source connected through the first channel; and a power hold switch device connected to the electronic appliance through a second channel, the power hold switch device providing power from the external power source to the electronic appliance through the second channel when receiving a power hold control signal provided by the operating electronic appliance, and disconnecting power provided by the external power source through the second channel when receiving no power hold control signal. As a result, with only one switch operation, the electronic appliance is connected to a power source, and operates at the same time. When a computer (i.e. the electronic appliance) changes from an operating state to a standby state, the power is automatically disconnected from the computer, so that the computer changes to a non-power consuming state. Accordingly, the standby power of the computer is cut by minimizing the standby state thereof, so that it can be minimized.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a water-cooled barbecue system which prevents overheating of the interior thereof and a grill and also prevents leakage of water from the appliance when the operation thereof is stopped. A burner is received within the main body of the barbecue system, a grill is disposed on the upper part of the main body, and water circulates in the interior of the grill. A check valve is included in a liquid pipe through which water flows in, and a cooling system for cooling water is included in the barbecue system. The burner has a solenoid gas valve, and a bimetal switch for cutting off power of the solenoid gas valve is included in the interior of the main body when a predetermined temperature is sensed. A fan for introducing outer air to the interior of the main body is included on the exterior of the main body, and the bimetal switch is included in a control panel part of the interior of the main body, which supplies power to the fan when a predetermined temperature is sensed. A thermal sensor is mounted on a liquid pipe through which water flows out from the grill, and a micom is included at the main body, which receives data from the thermal sensor so as to output a control signal to the cooling system and the solenoid gas valve. Accordingly, overheating of the interior of the barbecue system is prevented even if the barbecue grill is used for a long time in an airtight state, the temperature of the water is kept within a predetermined range, and it is possible to prevent water from leaking when the operation of the barbecue grill is stopped.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system for interrupting an electric power of an outlet or closing a gas valve through detection of the absence of a user. The system includes a signal transmission device installed on an outside of the outlet and a gas valve device. The signal transmission device detects the existence of the user to output a control signal, and the outlet and the gas valve device receive the control signal to control the flow of an electric power or gas.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a multifunctional multi-tap (concent) of intercepting a stand-by electric power and a control method employing the same which prevent big fire generated by leakage current by performing an interlocking control and a single-acting control (separate control) in accordance with subordination of respective appliances using a illumination sensor or a body-detecting sensor. The multifunctional multi-tap (concent) detects a signal according, to an illuminance and a motion of body around .respective lead-in holes activated as an interlocking control and a single-acting control using an illumination sensor or a body-detecting sensor, discriminates the detected signal by a controller, and controls the respective appliances as a stand-by state or a power-saving state in accordance with the interlocking control or the single-acting control.
