摘要: A system for magnetic detection includes a nitrogen vacancy (NV) diamond material comprising a plurality of NV centers, a radio frequency (RF) excitation source configured to provide RF excitation to the NV diamond material, an optical excitation source configured to provide optical excitation to the NV diamond material, an optical detector configured to receive an optical signal emitted by the NV diamond material, and a controller. The optical signal is based on hyperfine states of the NV diamond material. The controller is configured to detect a gradient of the optical signal based on the hyperfine states emitted by the NV diamond material.

摘要: Systems and apparatuses are disclosed for a hydrophone using a nitrogen vacancy center diamond magnetic sensor. Systems and hydrophone apparatuses are disclosed. In one implementation, a hydrophone includes a ferro-fluid that deforms when contacted by sound waves. A magnet is used to activate the ferro-fluid. One or more diamond nitrogen vacancy (DNV) sensors detect the magnetic field and movement of the ferro-fluid. For example, the movement of the ferrofluid changes the magnetic field of the ferro-fluid which can be detected. The changes in the magnetic field can then be used to determine the movement of the ferro-fluid. An electronic processor can translate movement of the ferro-fluid into acoustic data associated with the sound waves. In other implementations, the hydrophone can be installed within or as part of a vehicle. Further, the ferro-fluid can be enclosed in a membrane that is used to contain the ferro-fluid.

Tension on at least one of the ends of the tension control cable can be controlled to increase or decrease the length of the tension control cable. A plurality of beads are slidingly disposed on the tension control cable between the first end and the second end. The beads are free to move relative to one another on the tension control cable when the tension control cable is slack, and the beads are engaged with each other to form a rigid structure around the tension control cable when tension is applied to the tension control cable.

摘要: An optical alignment system is provided that simplifies the alignment of two vehicles, for example during a docking procedure, and provides visual cues indicating range to prevent accidental collision. The optical alignment system includes a horizontal array of Fresnel lenses including a first plurality of Fresnel lenses disposed on one side of a vertical axis and a second plurality of Fresnel lenses disposed on the opposite side of the vertical axis.
