    Abstract: A lighting apparatus having a base member and a directional member are shown and described. The base member includes a first surface having a plurality of reflective elements extending therefrom. The base member also including a plurality of openings arranged in a pattern. Each openings is configured to receive a respective light source. The directional member has a portion of a reflective surface positioned relative to at least one opening to reflect light radiating from a lighting source disposed within the opening towards a portion of at least one of the reflective elements extending from the base member.

    Abstract: A metallic reflector device having one or an array of individual reflector elements for positioning over a corresponding one or array of light sources, preferably comprising one or more light emitting diodes (LEDs). The metallic reflector device includes a planar base and a plurality of the reflector elements. The planar base has one or a plurality of apertures, each aperture having an edge that defines a proximal rim of the reflector element. Each reflector element includes an annular sidewall having an inner surface that extends from the proximal annular rim to a distal annular rim. The proximal annular rim defines a first opening through which direct and reflected light from a light source is emitted. The distal annular rim defines a second opening through which the light source is disposed. The inner surface of the annular sidewall is formed from the material of the planar sheet by mechanically deforming the planar sheet, such as by stamping or drawing.

    Abstract: A device for holding and positioning an optic, such as a refractive lens, over a light source such as a light emitting diode. The refractive lens is frustum-shaped with an upper light-exiting end having an upper rim, a lower light-entering end, and a conical sidewall that tapers from the upper rim to the lower end. The device has a channel including a base and first and second sidewalls extending from the opposed side edges of the base, and further having one or more optic holding positions. The optic holding position includes an aperture formed in the base that is configured to receive the conical sidewall of the optic, and an aperture formed in a portion of each sidewall, adjacent the aperture in the base, for retaining a portion of the upper rim of the optic lens. The aperture can include a slot opening through which a portion of the upper rim of the optic lens at least partially extends.
