Abstract: A toy play set for use in a vehicle having a beverage cup holder includes a generally elongated body (20). At least a first longitudinal end (16) is sized and shaped to fit at least partially into the cup holder sufficiently for the cup holder to support the body in a generally upright orientation when the body has in a closed configuration. The body has an open configuration in which a hollow interior (22) is at least partially accessible through at least one opening in a side wall (28). A plurality of movable components (50) is stored in storage positions within the hollow interior in the closed configuration of the body. At least two of the plurality of movable components are removable from the storage position and are repositionable in the open configuration of the body into at least one play position different from the storage position of the at least two movable components.

Abstract: A programmable toy dump truck (10) having a motive chassis (11) configured for itinerant maneuvers and a dump truck bed (20). A plurality of blocks (18), each having six sides, each side including at least one user program command (19) for directing the maneuvers of the vehicle. The truck further includes a plurality of slots (16) in the dump truck bed for simultaneously receiving a plurality of the blocks. A plurality of sensors (14) are positioned on the dump truck bed, at least one sensor corresponding to each slot (16). Each sensor includes at least one switch (12) for receiving from the blocks the user program command. A processor (21) is operationally connected to the sensors to receive the user program commands and to control the maneuvers of the vehicle. A sound generation mechanism (30) is operatively connected to the processor. A plurality of lights (34) is operatively connected to the processor (21) to be activated when the processor executes one of the commands.
