Abstract:
The present invention relates to an interactive toy-set for playing digital media, in particular auditorily recounting a story. The toy-set comprises a housing (10) adapted at receiving one or more placeable tokens (7). The placeable tokens each have a unique identifier incorporated, and the toy-set further comprises a sensing unit (11) for detecting a presence of the one or more placeable tokens (7). A control unit is adapted at selecting a track and a track index number from a number of indexed tracks based on the detected identifier of the one or more placeable tokens, whereby the track and track index is determined based on a specific unique role attributed to each placeable token (7). The interactive toy-set further comprises an output unit for outputting the track and the present invention also concerns a method for operating a toy-set for playing digital media in analogous fashion.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to inventive methods, systems and apparatus for lighting control. For example, light output of a lighting system (100) that illuminates a play area (101) may be altered, e.g., by a lighting system controller (102, 302), based on characteristics of toys (104) one or more children is playing with in the area, as well as alterations of the toys or relationships between the toys that the one or more children are effecting.
Abstract:
A modular construction toy kit includes components to construct a modular construction toy. The toy kit includes at least three contoured body sections operable to be interconnected in series with one another to cooperatively form a continuous toy body. The body sections include at least one transition body section and a pair of end body sections. Each end body section is truncated to present a contoured outer end surface that is intersected by an end joining face. The end joining faces have different marginal shapes and/or sizes. The at least one transition section presents a contoured outer transition surface and opposite, endmost transition joining faces that intersect the outer transition surface. Each endmost transition joining face marginally matches a respective one of the end joining faces to define a connection interface.

Abstract:
A hand-driven toy is disclosed herein. The hand-driven toy includes a snowboard having an upper surface and a lower surface; a pair of bindings fixedly secured to the upper surface each of the pair of bindings defining a boot cavity; and a pair of boot members each being configured to be releasably secured to the boot cavity of one of pair of bindings, and each of the pair of boot members having a finger opening.
Abstract:
A play set having a main panel section and a pair of side panel sections, each of which is pivotably connected to tile side lateral edges of the main panel section. When the play set is in a first orientation, the main panel section and the pair of side panel sections are oriented generally co-planar to each other such that the upper main surface and upper side surfaces define a play surface having a perimeter, and when the play set is in a second orientation, the side panel sections are adjacent each other and in a plane parallel to the main panel section to define a play set case. When in the first orientation, one of the panel sections includes an elongated member extendable therefrom in a telescoping manner to define an additional play surface outside the perimeter of the main panel sections and side panel sections.
Abstract:
A collapsible structure (10) having a first fabric-covered frame (12) defining a first side panel (20), a second fabric-covered frame (14) defining a second side panel (24), a fabric sheet (26) mounted on and extending along the first and second fabric-covered frames (12, 14); and a plurality of frame supports (16) mounted on the fabric sheet (26) whereby folding of the frame supports (16) drives the first and second side panels (20, 24) towards a collapsed and superimposed position, and unfolding of the frame supports (16) drives the first and second side panels (20, 24) towards a spaced apart and expanded position, and wherein the first and second side panels (20, 24) in the collapsed and superimposed position can be twisted and folded into a compact configuration.
Abstract:
A modular building (122) for a toy building set (2) includes a planar member (124), or foundation, having raised ribs (136) on its top (130) and a wall member (126) having a wall portion (154) and a base portion (156). The wall portion of the wall member is substantially orthogonal to the base portion of the wall member. The base portion of the wall member has a cleft (160) therein sized to receive one of the ribs (136) of the foundation (124) to removably attach the wall member to the foundations. A substantially planar coupler (128) connects at least two or more of the foundations. The coupler has at least two clefts (160) therein. The clefts are sized to receive the ribs (136) on each of the two foundations for removable attachment of the foundation of the coupler.
Abstract:
A planar toy element interchangeably attached to other planar toy elements to form an arrangement of elements which may define a planar or a three-dimensional object. The planar element may be pliable or soft, may be soft or may have toy items attached thereto or integral therewith.
