摘要: A device for inductively charging an electronic accessory includes a first portion, a second portion, and a spacer. The first portion includes a first transmission coil in a first plane where the first transmission coil is configured to generate a first magnetic field, and the second portion includes a first transmission coil in a second plane where the second transmission coil is configured to generate a second magnetic field. The spacer is positioned between the first transmission coil and the second transmission coil and between the first plane and the second plane. The spacer material magnetically insulates the second transmission coil from the first magnetic field.

摘要: The herein described technology provides a system with multiple batteries connected in parallel and having disparate charge and/or discharge characteristics. When a voltage source is coupled to a shared charging node, the multiple batteries are simultaneously charged through the shared charging node.

摘要: A charging receiver device adapts wireless charging receiver loading. The charging receiver device receives energy wirelessly transferred from a wireless charging coil of a charging transmitter device. The charging receiver device includes a charger circuit electrically coupled to a wireless charging receiver coil to receive the charging power. The charging power is a function of a rectified receiver voltage at the charger circuit. A received power monitoring circuit monitors the rectified receiver voltage at the charger circuit, detects a deviation of the monitored rectified receiver voltage from a target rectified receiver voltage for the charging receiver device, and decreases a charge current output from the charger circuit to increase the rectified receiver voltage toward the target rectified receiver voltage, responsive to determining that the detected deviation indicates that the monitored rectified receiver voltage is less than the target rectified receiver voltage.

摘要: An electronic device adjusts power supplied to a first battery power source (1102) by a second battery power source (1104). A battery current sense circuit (1116) senses a charge current supplied to the first battery power source. Operation of a tracking circuit (1124) depends on the charge current. A charge feedback controller (1126) generates a control voltage based on an output voltage at a first battery port of the first battery power source. A voltage converter circuit (1110) includes an input port electrically coupled to the second battery power source and an output port electrically coupled to the tracking circuit and the first battery power source. The voltage converter circuit adjusts the charge current supplied by the second battery power source through the voltage converter circuit to the first power source based on the control voltage.

摘要: An electronic device supplies power to system load(s) from a first battery power source and a second battery power source connected in series across a re-configurable device section boundary. A battery monitor monitors voltage across each individual battery cell within the first and second battery power sources. The battery monitor directs a charge circuit as to how and when to charge the first and second battery power sources using an external power source. The battery monitor also directs the charge circuit as to how and when to use the first and second battery power sources to power the system load(s).

摘要: An electronic device balances power supplied to a system load (508) by a first battery power source (502) and a second battery power source (504). A battery current sense circuit (522) is electrically coupled to sense a first current supplied by the first battery power source to the system load. A discharge feedback controller (526) is electrically coupled to the battery current sense circuit and configured to adjust a control voltage (514) based on the sensed first current. A voltage converter circuit (510) includes an input electrically coupled to the second battery power source and an output electrically coupled to the system load. The voltage converter circuit is configured to adjust current supplied by the second battery power source through the voltage converter circuit to the system load based on the control voltage.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods of providing an ideal diode function to a battery having a protective field effect transistor (FET). An apparatus may include the protective FET (314) configured to selectively connect an external voltage (VPOS) to a battery (312) for charging the battery (312). The apparatus may also include a controller (320) coupled with a gate of the protective FET (314) via a node and configured to enable the protective FET (314). The apparatus may further include an override circuit (332) coupled to the node and configured to selectively draw current away from the gate of the protective FET (314) based on the external voltage (VPOS) or to interrupt the path from a controller (320) to a protective FET (314). The override circuit (332) of the apparatus may provide protection from cross-charging of the battery (312) by a second battery while using the protective FET (314) that is already used for charge/discharge protection.

摘要: The herein described technology provides a device with at least two batteries having disparate charge characteristics connected in parallel and sharing a single charging node. The device further includes an adjustable resistance in a charge path between the single charging node and a first battery of the two disparate batteries, and charge control circuitry that dynamically determines a charge rate for the first battery based on a detected battery parameter and controls the adjustable resistance to charge the first battery at the determined charge rate.
