Abstract:
The system and method of the present invention provides for automatic mass upgrade of firmware on mesh access point in a mesh network with at least one management system (102) and mesh AP (104). The said management system (102) comprising at least one GUI (102a); at least one FCAPS (102e); at least one SW Upgrade Function (102b); at least one topology (102c); at least one adjacent AP logic (102d) and at least one Upgrade Manager (102f). Selection of best path link is achieved by the at least one adjacent AP logic (102d) by calculating the best path link from the first AP to all other APs in the topology and generating an ordered table in which the sequence of APs for the firmware to be upgraded will be identified from the best path link. Accordingly, the mesh AP (104) comprising at least one SNMP Agent (104a); at least one Upgrade Module (104f); at least one Upgrade Manager (104b); at least one adjacent AP (104e); at least one TFTP Client (104c); and at least one TFTP Server (104d). The at least one Upgrade Manager (104b) will automatically initiates firmware upgrade operation upon receipt of acknowledgement that said upgrade request were sent to all APs in the ordered list. Alternatively, firmware upgrade operation is automatically performed when there is no AP to be upgraded according to the ordered table.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for performing a bulk reboot operation in a group of relay access points (104a) (104b) (104c) within a wireless network environment. A relay access point (104a) upon receiving a reboot command, which is sent from a network management system residing in an operation center (101 ), will not immediately reboot itself. On the contrary, the relay access point (104a) ensures that low level relay access points (104b), which are wirelessly connected to and directly a level below the relay access point (104a), successfully disconnect from the relay access point (104a) and perform the reboot operation before the relay access point (104a) reboot itself. A system for carrying out the aforesaid is also described herein.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and method for polling changes in a network device (10) in a periodically manner by using a simple network management protocols (SNMP) agent (13). Specifically, the system and method allow a management system (20) to update a network (30) with any changes that occurred in the network device (10) and at the same disregard any unchanged information. Therefore, the system and method promote efficiency; prevent overloading the network (30) with unnecessary unchanged information, and ease network traffic.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for monitoring transmission of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps from a network element (10) to the network management station (20) and recovering SNMP traps which are lost, said SNMP trap is created by the network element (10) upon detecting an event affecting the network element (10). The network element (10) generates and maintains a sequence number for the SNMP trap, appends an identifier of the previously transmitted SNMP traps. A trap transmission database (13) stores the transmitted SNMP traps. A trap reception management module (22) provided identifies any lost SNMP trap according to the sequence number of the SNMP trap received, extracts the identifier of the lost SNMP trap, and requests lost SNMP trap retransmission from the network element. A trap reception database (23) is provided for storing the received SNMP trap.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a system and method for detecting aggressive behaviour activity in a confined area. The system of the present invention comprising of an image processing module (10) for retrieving a plurality of image frames, a frame processing module (20) for determining numbers of frames to be processed, a motion calculation module (30) for identifying a moving object areas in the image frames, a contour processing module (40) for determining potential area of the aggressive behavior activity, and an aggressive behaviour detection module (50) for detecting the aggressive behaviour activity based on level of interaction between the moving objects within the potential area. Further, the methods of detecting the aggressive behaviour activity are provided herein to perform the same.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system (1000) and method for video surveillance and monitoring. The system (1000) comprising a recording unit (200) configured to record at least one video stream for storage, a video acquisition unit (300) to obtain the video stream from at least one video source such as a surveillance camera or a storage medium, and a configuration unit (400) configured to add details of the surveillance camera to a database and choose at least one video analytics type depending on the surveillance camera, monitoring areas, and video analytics parameter values. The system (1000) further comprising a display unit (600) configured to compute display variable values and display an adaptive video stream for monitoring and an video processing unit (500) configured to process a video stream with video analytics enabled and a video stream without video analytics enabled simultaneously.
Abstract:
A method implemented in a client-server network to redirect a client to a web page hosted at a local server in the network upon internet being disconnected is down is disclosed. In one embodiment, our method organizes and manages a client's web browsing request by identifying the client by its Internet Protocol (IP) address and associates it to the URL of each website visited thereby. For each new webside accessed and/or URL request sent, it is added to the user's URL History. Each website or URL is ten categorized as whether the resources is hosted in a server located either internal or external to the network. When internet connection is down, the user's browser would indicate such disconnection and redirect the user to a webpage hosted in a local server wherein is shown a list of resources hosted in internal servers which are still available for browsing. Upon detecting Internet connection being restored, indicating such re-connection and re- enabling said URLs of external servers with hyperlinking.
Abstract:
A method of initiating firmware upgrades on a wireless device connected to a wireless network is provided, the method includes the steps of receiving firmware upgrade request from the wireless network, upgrading firmware if there are no active user sessions, setting the upgrade flag in a non volatile memory is there are active user sessions, upgrading firmware when the wireless device has no active users or the wireless device is powered-on and upgrade flag is set.
