Abstract: A threshold barrier assembly includes an illumination system to facilitate visibility of the barrier assembly while mounted in a doorway or on a staircase, thereby reducing the risk of a trip hazard. The barrier assembly can include a frame comprising a pair of upright frame members connected to a lower cross member, and a barrier door comprising an upper horizontal cross member pivotally connected to the frame, a lower horizontal cross member, and vertical members connected between the upper and lower horizontal cross members. At least one illumination element is installed in at least one of the lower cross member, the upper horizontal cross member, or one or more of the vertical members. An integrated controller can control illumination of the illumination system based on a predetermined sequence, or detected environmental or operating conditions.

Abstract: A cassette to dispense a pleated tubing. The cassette includes a circular body having an annular channel housing with a central cylindrical core. At least one wall has an upper end with a lip disposed thereon. An annular cover is attached to the lip at the upper end defining a gap over the annular body. A tubing is disposed within the annular channel housing and withdrawn from the gap. At least one of a plurality of apertures is provided at a lower end of the annular channel housing. The apertures have reinforced walls. The apertures are adapted to be aligned with a projection extending upward from within a container.

Abstract: The present subject disclosure is a waste receptacle. The waste receptacle includes a container housing, a lid assembly and at least one UV illumination source disposed in the lid assembly or container housing for sterilizing an internal compartment of the container housing. The waste receptacle may include at least one sensor, for example disposed in the lid assembly and/or the container housing, for ensuring the safe operation of the UV illumination source. The at least one sensor prevents the UV illumination source from operating unless the waste receptacle is completely sealed in order to prevent UV light from exiting the receptacle during use and to protect a user or bystander from exposure to potentially harmful UV light.

Abstract: A warming device that heats and agitates a container. The warming device has a housing having an enclosed chamber and a concentric warming chamber adapted to receive a first fluid. A concentric basket is provided that is adapted to fit within the warming chamber. The concentric basket secures the container partially submerged within the first fluid. At least one heating element is provided to heat the first fluid in the warming chamber to warm an exterior surface of the container. A motor is provided to agitate and warm a second fluid in the container by rotating the concentric basket at a predetermined rate.
