    Abstract: According to an example embodiment, a method may include determining, by a base station, a beam switching time for the base station; determining, by the base station, a predetermined fraction of a cyclic prefix length of a cyclic prefix to be used by the base station for transmission of one or more symbols; determining that the beam switching time for the base station exceeds the predetermined fraction of the cyclic prefix length; and adding a guard period to at least one of a last symbol, of a first set of one or more symbols, associated with a first beam and/or a first symbol, of a second set of one or more symbols, associated with a second beam, wherein the first symbol associated with the second beam is transmitted after and adjacent to the last symbol associated with the first beam.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable storage medium are provided for combining PDSCHs across beams. In an implementation, the method may include transmitting, by a network node, a configuration message to one or more user equipments (UEs), the configuration message indicating a time-frequency region and associated beam information of a downlink transmission; transmitting, by the network node, a plurality of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) in the time-frequency region, each PDCCH of the plurality of PDCCHs including scheduling information of a corresponding physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and at least one other PDSCH, the corresponding PDSCH and the at least one other PDSCH of a plurality of PDSCHs; and transmitting, by the network node, the plurality of PDSCHs in the time-frequency region.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for selective uplink transmission power boosting for a user equipment (UE) are provided. One method may include determining, by a UE, for a given transmission or service, whether to use a first uplink transmission power or a second uplink transmission power over a radio channel bandwidth, based on obtained configuration information. The user equipment is configured to support the first uplink transmission power associated with a first power limit over the radio channel bandwidth and the second uplink transmission power associated with a second power limit over the radio channel bandwidth, and the second uplink transmission power is equal to or higher than the first uplink transmission power. The method may then include transmitting the transmission or service applying the determined first or second uplink transmission power limit.

    Abstract: A method for a network element, NE, is proposed, which comprises receiving from a user equipment, UE, at least one of a BSR or an uplink MAC-CE; determining to perform an L1 based handover for the UE; and sending an L1 based handover command to the UE. Another method for a UE is proposed, which comprises receiving an L1/L2 mobility configuration; deciding that there is an L1 CSI report to send; determining whether the UE has an UL grant; if it is determined that the UE has an UL grant, the method further comprises: sending at least one of a BSR or an UL MAC-CE to a NE; if it is determined that the UE does not have an UL grant, the method further comprises: sending a dedicated SR to a NE indicating that an L1 CSI report is pending; receiving a scheduling grant from the NE; and sending the L1 CSI report to the NE based on the scheduling grant; and receiving an L1 based handover command from the NE.

    Abstract: A method may include sending, by a user equipment, a random access preamble message to a network element. The method may also include receiving an uplink grant in a random access response message in response to the random access preamble message. The method may further include adding an implicit timing advance offset to an uplink time domain resource allocation of the uplink grant to establish synchronization of radio transmissions between the user equipment and the network element. The method may also include transmitting a scheduled transmission message including the implicit timing advance offset to the network element. Further, the implicit timing advance offset may be added to the uplink time domain resource before the scheduled transmission message is transmitted.
