According to an embodiment, a network analytics component of a communication network is described comprising an analytics interface configured to receive a request for network analytics information, a determiner configured to determine whether to collect location information of one or more mobile terminals from a Location Services component for generating the network analytics information, a location interface configured to, if the determiner has determined to collect location information of the one or more mobile terminals from a Location Services component for generating the network analytics information, select a Location Services component and to collect location information of the one or more mobile terminals from the selected Location Services component and a network analyzer configured to generate the requested network analytics information using the collected location information and to provide the generated network analytics information via the analytics interface.
