Abstract: A polymeric sheet comprising: a first surface and a second surface; and a first embossed pattern on at least one of the first surface or the second surface and method of preparing same is provided. In one aspect, the sheet comprises at least two protrusions, the at least two protrusions direct, impede, and/or control gas movement between the at least two protrusions when arranged in contact with a surface and externally compressed. In another aspect, the sheet is at least partially cross-linked and/or foamed.
