    Abstract: Examples of monitoring of follicular fluid flow using image processing are described herein. Image frames pertaining to a pre-defined target area defined for a collection tube during an ovum pick-up (OPU) step of an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) procedure may be obtained in real-time. The target area corresponds to a region indicating entry of a follicular fluid into the collection tube. Thereafter, the image frames may be processed to detect occurrence of a flow of the follicular fluid as well as presence of blood in the follicular fluid. Accordingly, a first alert signal indicating detection of occurrence of flow of the follicular fluid and a second alert signal indicating presence of blood in the follicular fluid, may be generated to notify a medical practitioner.

    Abstract: Gametes are stored for future use/ transport between laboratories. Cryopreservation techniques are employed for the efficient storage of gametes. A cryopreservation box (100) open from the top for holding female gametes collection tubes is disclosed.     Abstract: The present subject matter discloses a device and system of aspirating follicular fluid. In an example, an ovum pick up (OPU) device for aspirating follicular fluid includes a needle having a first end and a second end, opposite to the first end. The first end of the needle is to pierce through an ovarian follicle to aspirate the follicular fluid from the ovarian follicle by a suction force. The OPU device includes a connector having a channel to receive the second end of the needle. The OPU device further includes an elastic tube connected to the connector. The second end of the needle passes through the channel and inside the elastic tube. The elastic tube is compressible, while locating the ovarian follicle and piercing the needle through the ovarian follicle, to regulate the suction force during aspiration of the follicular fluid between two follicles.

    Abstract: An aspiration system (100) is provided with a piston unit (102) having a base member (104) and a plurality of arms (106) extending outwards from the base member. The plurality of arms is in a same plane and includes a first arm (106a), a second arm (106b), and a third arm (106c). A cap (108) affixed to a free end of the third arm of the piston unit. A hollow tube (110) having an open end is disposed over the third arm to form a hermetic seal with the cap. A nozzle (114) is positioned opposite to the open end and connectable to a fluid collection tube (116). The piston unit is acted upon by gravity to create a negative pressure inside the hollow tube to cause the aspiration of the biological fluids.

    Abstract: Examples of a cryopreservation device (200, 300) for storing reproductive biological material are described herein. The device (200, 300) includes a vitrification straw (202, 302) having an elongated member (208, 306) with a planar base and a triangular cross-section. The vitrification straw (202, 302) further includes a tip member (208, 308) extending away from one end of the elongated member (208, 306). At least a portion of the tip member (208, 308) defines a cavity (212) to receive the biological material. Further, the cryopreservation device includes a sheath (204, 304, 402) for being disposed over the tip member (208, 308) of the vitrification straw (202, 302).
